April is the Month of the Military Child
a time to honor the strength, resilience, and daily sacrifices of more than 1.6 million military-connected children in the United States. These children face frequent school changes, parental deployments, and the many unique challenges that come with military life.
The American Legion Auxiliary Adolph Pfister Unit 1038 is proud to support our military families by hosting Operation Baby Shower, an event that brings our community together with one shared goal: supporting active-duty military families, both near and far.
The generosity of our community is making a real difference. In July, we received correspondence from the Airmen’s Attic at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst thanking us for our donations and sharing the incredible impact they had. We were told that 173 families, representing 411 individuals, received necessary supplies for their families.
And that is only part of the story.
Our donations have also supported military families at Fort Drum in New York and the nonprofit organization Operation Shower.
Every diaper, package of wipes, baby item, and donation represents more than a tangible gift—it represents our community standing beside those who serve our country and their families.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to Operation Baby Shower.
Your generosity reminds military families that they are not alone and that we are here to support them.
